Default Run Flats

Are there any other manufacturers that make run flats that fit on C6s??
Just curious, if we're stuck w/ only Goodyear?

It took almost 3 years before other manufactures started making run-flats for the C5.

I'm guessing it'll be the same for the C6. We'll start seeing C6 sized run flats from other manufactures probably in a year, maybe less if we get lucky.

Curious what you found wrong with them? I guess I would be a bit hesitant switching from a tire that I’ve hit 1 g on several occasions and I’m still here. Had two flats with the left rear and just drove over and had them repaired, $15 the first time and a box of donuts the second time. Rides quiet and wear if fine got 31K rear and 36K fronts. Then to switch to a tire that one I probably couldn’t pronounce recommended by someone I don’t know on a car capable of over 180mph. My ego is not that hungry that I want to reinvent the tire because of a sinister plan between GM and Good Year. Just my 02

I haven't found anything wrong w/ them. In fact, been very pleased w/ them considering how bad some have claimed they are. I was just curious if there were any other choices.......Had driven in Potenza "Z" tires b/4 & did like them at the time.....

The runflats that come with the z51 package (F1 supercar) are a pretty decent tire. I managed to get good mileage and they gripped fairly well once warmed up and cornered great for a runflat tire. But the runflats that come with the base model absolutely suck for cornering! I wouldn't waste a dime on another set of those crappy tires.

If you're looking for a set, I'll sell you my stock run-flats with 5,500 on them for cheap! They have three 1/4 mile passes on them and exactly 0 burn-outs. They are in excellent condition.

I went with Michelin zero pressure tires. 345/30/19 on the rear and 275/35/18 on the front (same as the viper). Of course, you will need wider fenders for the rear. I put Z06 fenders on the rear.
