How much hp can a a6 or mn6 transmission take??

The term MN6 is a generic option code for merchandising Tremec 6 speed manual transmissions; MM6 more completely identifies the base Corvette transmission, and MZ6 identifies the Z51/Z06 transmission. Similarly, the A6 is merchandised as option code MX0, but the specific Corvette model automatic transmission is MYC.

Torque rating is the relevant information rather than horsepower. The service manual indicates the MM6 transmission to be rated at 450 ft-lb. No torque rating is given for the A6 or 6L80/MYC automatic transmission.

if you are still in the 13 sec club, you should be fine...i am sure you are using street tires not slicks.

That's from my 98c5 (sold two years ago). I'm thinking about getting a C6 or a new shelby.

I read last year on a Tremec related website that the 6 speed box in the C6 is good for 600hp in standard form. Don't know about the auto box.
