Rattle or muffler under load during acceleration
Hi All,
Just bought an red base coupe manual C6. Have 50 miles on it. With the windows up and during acceleration a knocking-like noise,almost like a rumbling coming form trans location in any gear. Is this performance exhaust. Only happens during acceleration
Took it out of gear and can't get to repeat during revving
Any help on this noise anyone ?

Have you checked the heat shields under the gas tanks?Get under the car and rap on them with your fist to check for any noise.They can really resonate inside the car if they are rattling.Mine were quiet until I changed my exhaust,then began to make noise on the passenger side as I passed about 1200rpm.I lowered it enough to slip a 1/8" sheet of high density foam in between it and the tank,and the noise went away.Hopefully it is something this simple for you as well.
