I'm running SLP 1.85 rockers right now along with the stock LS2 springs, no issues at all right up to 6600. I also ran these springs along with a .571/.580 lift LPE GT2-3 cam in my C5, again no issues. After reading lots of threads on the internet about the LS6 springs, I removed them and installed Comp 918s, but it turned out to be a total waste of time and money. Performance was identical to the LS2/LS6 spring at this lift level and lobe intensity.

The late LS6 cam is very similar to the LS2 cam except for the lift that you can get with rockers, so I can't see it providing much performance at all in an LS2. GM just used it to slightly extend the RPM range of the LS6, and they installed lightweight valves to keep everything in check.
I've also been thinking about trying the rockers but was worried about whether the stock springs would work so thanks for the info. Do you think the rockers make enough of a difference to warrant there cost?

I added 1.85 rockers thoug my gains aren't scientific by any means. My after dyno was done on a different dyno, on a different day. Both were dynojets. My track results for before and after weren't conclusive being the track conditions were very different as well (hot/4500' DA vs 20+mph headwind/2-3000' DA). Anyway, my before dyno was 377.8rwhp/358.0rwtq SAE.......my after was 395/382 SAE. Tuning didn't change the peak numbers at all. Take it for what it's worth.

pretty good article, i knew LS6 cam and intake was better than the LS2, i knew the LS6 valves were lighter than the LS2 but i had no idea the LS6 exhaust manifolds were better than the LS2's.
