Default Wheel Offset question?

I just put on Zo6 style rims they 18x8.5 56mm and 19x10 79mm ( which are the correct offsets) The problem is the rears stick out almost an inch. Why is that????????????????

is this on a c6? you sure they are 19x10 with 79mm offset?

one way to check is take the rear wheel off, place it face down, and measure the backspace. if its 8.6" then you do have a 79mm offset and it should not stick out

What tire size? And check the actual offset on the wheel, some wheel suppliers still think the C6 takes the same offset as the C5.
