Does anyone have info on those casters that attach to the skid plates and protect the underside of the nose from scraping? My driveway angle is so steep that unless I turn the wheels to the stops it really beats the *&*^* out of the air dam, and even scrapes the skid plates. I saw them advertised somewhere, put wonder if they 1>really work; 2> actually can lift the nose up when in use. Thanks!! Any other ideas would be VERY welcome!
I have a very steep, long, gravel driveway; (side of a steep hill) I find I must hit it on as sharp of an angle as possible.
By going slow and being careful I have had no problems. (YET)
Remember those parts (DAM) are made to be expendable and not too expensive to replace. At the rate things are going I should get 3+ years out of them.
Just remember if things are that close, backing up could do some real damage as the system is designed to only give in forward motion
Hope this helps, though I realize this does not answer your question about rollers.

Unfortunately, the C6 doesn't have skid plates. Those are the lower radiator supports, and they're a bit fragile. I broke the pair of them crossing a crowned intersection before I raised the car. Since the little casters bolt to these parts, and stick down further, they just make it easier to break the lower radiator supports. (Breaking the radiator supports can cause damage to the radiator.)

.
I'm not worrying about it. When they get real beat up, I'll replace them.
Its almost impossible to not scrape them, they are so low.
I have an 05 and this would drive me nuts when I first took delivery. I don't worry about it much any more but I will slow down as necessary.
I've left 3 sets lying in the roadway. I don't slow down, except for imminent frame or suspension damage. Car was meant to be driven, if parts drag off, put new ones on.

Mike,
I had the same problem and so did my other neighbor who has a Vette, because we live in a new development and the street isn't finished, so it's a big drop from the driveway to the street. I bought a bunch of bags of asphalt patcher and made a ramp from the street to my drive and did the same for my neighbor. It works really well. Hope this helps.
I had same problem phoned city about proper driveway entrance
they told me to phone developer cause area so new developer told
me to phone the city so.............
I layed the poly underneath just in case I have to take it out lol
Good info. I guess I'll either have a contractor add some concrete, if not too $$$, or live with it. Dragged the T/A's dams too, but no chance of scraping the underside. Taking it really slow--like my grandmother is driving...mitigates it to some degree. Wish we could raise it up like some cars with air. Oh well, one of the downsides (few) of the Vette. Thanx guys! Will stay away from the casters.
A and A Corvette developed the frame saver rollers that mounted to the lower skid bars on a C5. I'm not sure if these will adapt to the C6 or if there are other products out there. Here is a link to the page (down the bottom) for the rollers.

Before I did the concrete I had some 1 x4 stacked kind of like
the concrete and it stopped the scraping as well
