Does anyone know if C5 brake calipers will work on a C6? Just the calipers, not the mounting brackets.
It appears that you can buy 4, C5 calipers brand new, in red for like $350. It's not worth painting your old ones for that.
yes, they will fit. The corvette script on the fronts is a little smaller, and there are larger ribs on the fronts of the C5 calipers. The rear are identical unless you have a Z51, then they are slightly different, but will still work. Actually for the non Z51, the mounting brackets are also identical.
Of course, I can powdercoat yours for $200 and they will look much better than the stock C5 Z06 ones. Although I do understand about downtime.

Thanks for the info! What actually drove this is another thread that said that the Z51 had a smaller piston in the rear than the standard brake package. In my search, I found C5, GM calipers painted already. So I guess the best thing to do is buy the rears and send you the fronts this winter when I don't drive the car.
