I have to go check my DIC (not sure about you guys but I keep my DIC in the garage ) to see the averages but I do know that I've seen over 34mpg for a stretch on the highway at around 65mph.
19-20 around town. Highway is 27.5 to 29 at 70-80 with the AC on. I had a trip that was about 175 miles on rural highway where I drove 55-60 without the AC on and I got 32.5. I love to watch peoples faces when I tell them I've gotten over 30 on the highway.
I got 24 MPG on my first tank. This was the actual calculated measurement using the trip odometer and the gasoline purchase. The DIC showed 23.8. This was a BIG improvement over my C5, which was way inaccurate (15% optimistic) on the DIC.
I bought this car with 1600 miles on the clock, now has a little over 2K. I'm hoping that the mileage improves over time.
20 to 22 around town (Small town), 27.8 on open road at 75 mph with a few passing runs to 90+. These figures were backed up by manual calculations when filling up and actually the DIC is a little less than actual which were better than the DIC readings above. Now on a 1.7mile 11 turn track it got 8.5mpg but that happened only once just to get an idea what the car would do.
Mid 12 second quarter mile times
Nearly 190mph top speed
Nearly 1g cornering capabilities
Seriously short (and repeatable) stopping distances
Comfortable ride quality
30+ mpg
Under $46k
Man I love these cars.
Gotta love that list of attributes, very well stated!
Never considered an automatic until the paddles came along in the Corvette. Seems likes everyone that has the A6 likes it. Seriously considering one now. My other Corvettes have all been manuals.
