Default Common problem on 2005 Corvette?

The fuel door will not stay locked and stays in the open position. Possible solutions?
Could it be a bad switch at the connection between the fuel door and switch point? Fuel release button from interior still works but the door just won't lock so it sticks out wide open very noticeable.

Sorry but mine works just fine, never opens unless I hit the fuel door release button. Dealer should fix it, np.
Good luck!

I had this happen to mine last Aug. It seems that some dirt got inside there and was not letting the plunger come all the way out to fully latch the fuel door. Replaced under warranty in about an hour. It did really pi$$ me off though while i waited for the part to come in, every time i was stopped at a light people would say "your fuel door is open"

Mine was sticking closed, a little dab of synthetic grease took care of the problem.

No problem with my fuel door since I took delivery on my 2005 C6
11/01/04. It has worked like a charm.

No one has said anything yet because I taped it shut.
I have already had to replace the gas cap because of stored computer code and message on DIC.
I just hope this fuel door lock problem is NOT another part they have to order which makes me have to make another visit to dealership as I'm already AGAIN taking it in for a park/neutral switch attached to transmission that is being replaced which just came in and had to also be ordered for "Park to shift" problem on DIC. What next? Another visit on top of this one?

Also with the price of petrol going up with the gas door staying open like that is an invitation to thieves and vandals.
