Default Which intake should I go with?

Lots of intakes out there from Vararam, Callaway, Blackwing, Vortex, and some others. What are your experiences and which would you recommend?

I have a Vararam on my C5, a Halltech Stinger on my C6. All the CAI systems work pretty well, just depends on your budget, goals, and preferences, whether you're willing to cut your shroud. There's a DIY mod that probably works as well as many of the aftermarket pieces.

Do a search, read some threads and opinions, then you'll REALLY be confused!

I like my LPE CAI. Go with any of the Major players and you will not be disappointed. There is a difference. I went through 2 aftermarket Induction systems. I would advise going with a firm that has the funds to throughly test the product and stay away from the "backyard" accessory vendors.

I would recommend LPE but friends have had similar results to mine with Callaway and VaraRam.

This graph is my car when it had the stock motor. First line is stock, second highest is an lower performing aftermarket induction and the highest is the LPE. Do some research and make your choice based on your requirements

It comes down to two: Calloway and Vararam. Alot of C5 folks swear by the Vararam, C6 folks like the Calloway.

I installed the Calloway and I love the performance gains. With just mufflers and a tune, I am 365 RWHP.

The best part, is it looks like an OEM unit. Very stealthy under the hood, looks and performs the way GM should have engineered it.

Dont forget the tune after install. After install, I was at 351 rwhp, went to 365 after tune.
