OBD-II scanner procedure for reading C6 codes
I just bought an OBD-II CAN U480 scanner and followed the directions but no joy.
Plugged in while ignition was off,
Scanner comes alive, so far so good,
Instructions then say to turn ignition ON, but do not start engine,
Ok, cant do that, I held the start button down for ten seconds (to put ignition to ON and no start) but I just hear some clicking.
After I unplug the scanner........holding ignition button down works fine, will go into no start mode with ignition on.
Does the C6 require something else be done for this to work?

Got a little farther, hitting enter on the scanner allows you to get into ignition on mode, but it seems to get stuck on scanning for the correct protocol. getting late, monkey with it tomorrow.
