That is a good idea. I will give that a try. Thanks.

Default DBS again

Once you allow a battery to drop below12.4 volts it may be too heavily sulphated to be rully recoverable. It probably only has 50% of it's original capacity. Drop it below 12.0 volts in an open circuit no load condition and the battery, for all practical purposes, is shot. No amount of charging will improve the capacity.
For the average battery the following is true.
12.9 volts = 100% capacity
12.6 volts = 75% "
12.4 volts = 50% "
12.2 volts = 25% "
12.0 volts = 0% "

Optima brand "Yellow Top" starter/deep cycle batteries have a fully charged resting voltage (OCV) open circuit no load voltage of 13.1 volts
Blue Top deep cycle batteries have 12.8 (OCV) Increase above voltages accordingly.

VDC Electronics has a Battery Minder Model #12248 Charger/Maintainer/Desulphator-Conditioner that works wonders for badly sulphated batteries. Try them. www.vdcelectronics.com
You can leave in on for weeks at a time with NO harm to the battery !!
Bill Woods is the owner and is VERY knowledgeable and will talk to you on the phone. Be patient though, as he is very busy.
With this charger/maintainer and the Priority Start you should never have another DBS problem !!
