In that thread owners talk about problems getting their scan tool to work. I think they found that you have to get in, close the door, hook up the tool, then put the ignition in ACC mode. Take a look at the thread and see if anything in their might help.
I called the Service Manager, he said it is throwing so many codes it is taking foever to track them down.
I think he ought to clear them all out and see what happens then?
Got it back, no more codes. No real explanation was obtainable. Showed all computers lost communication becasue of low battey power but the battery is fine and was showing 13.9 when I pulled out of the dealership before this all started happening. Who knows. Probably not the end of it. Probably will not be the end of it and will eventually become a battery internal short or maybe the negative battery terminal was just a hair loose from the facotry. Who knows. At least it is back on the road.
Unforunately happend again, then cleared itself after a few minutes, then repeated and never cleared again, even overnight. The voltage was showing 14.2 volts this moring when I dropped it off at the dealer again. The guys at the dealer have beeen fantastic to deal with. Very responsive, courteous, have taken the vette back into the bay immediately and hooked eveything up as if it were a patient on life support.
Yet, I think I am gong to let this one go and get another. Don't know that I can ever trust it taking that freeway ramp in the rain , runing the "pig Trail" at night. If they can't come to an exact dignosis and fix today, I am going to bail.
Now has 109 miles on it.
