Default Automatic Trans getting replaced on 2005

Well it kinda sucks but my Trans went out at 11,000 miles on my 2005 auto convertible. Dealership said they had to due a cost analysis to see if trans would get replaced or fixed. Lucky I know service manager and technician otherwise I would have been screwd. Dealership has never put a trans in a 2005 automatic yet. I myself work for BMW and we don;t open up Transmissions we replace them if they are defective. $65,000 for a car and they do a cost analysis a transmission remanufacture warranty price is only $2800.00 plus labor how cheap can gm be not wanting to take care of there customers after all we are spending good money on there product. Sorry I am venting just thought I should tell everyone.

I am also curious if you had any mods (headers etc) that they questioned. The reason I ask is that I am doing some bolt on mods and want to confirm that its not a issue when a drivetrain issue is found that they could point the "too much power caused it" finger at.

In addition to my C-6 I have a 5.0 and I know everything on a corvette is more expensive but for the price of the tranny you mentioned I could get 2 transmissions for my 88 5.0 the cost on these are about 1,300 mail order each but I don't need to because I'm still on my original 5spd. trans at 208,000 miles.
These Corvettes sure do cost alot more then again they always have and always will. I used to own a 72 454 coupe and it was not any different.

Only Modification is Halltech intake and Magnaflow exhaust everything else is stock. Guess I just was not lucky. Dealer on phone told me he changed fluid for differential for steering nosie but when picked up it said no problem found. Real nice huh?
