Default Dry sump for LS2

Anyone put a drysump kit on a C6 LS2 yet? I was thinking about doing it for roadracing purposes! If so, can you fit the C6 Z06 drysump system on and what part numbers would you need to do that? Would it be worth it or not? Thanks in advance!

One issue would be relocating the battery and all that that entails. But it would be cool!

I read that the oil tank, lines and fittings ran in the neighborhood of $1000 from GM. Cheaper through a vendor. A battery bracket for the rear storage compartment is available as well.

Pan and pump are different also. Maybe some other assorted parts on the front of the engine - not sure.

All that entails ---

Battery bracket
vent/vent kit
longer wire of the correct guage
new ground location
Make a hole for the vent/wires

I was just too lazy to type it all out....

So far what I've found out is that the oil pan, lines, and canister run about $1300.00 or more. Don't know how worthwhile this might be!!!

www.drysump.com

I've used a couple of their systems on LS1's and they work real good. He should be able to help you out.

The pump, pan and pick up are completely different.

The pump is a dual gerotor, one for scavenging. Which will require new front cover.

Why would you want to do this. Designed for sustained G's.
