slow tire leak
I have an 05' coupe with the front drivers side tire that has a slow leak that started out at 2 psi a day to now 10 - 12 psi a day. The dealership said they can't patch the run flats and the tire would need to be replaced. I have 8,000+ miles on the car now and was wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem and what they did about it.

Take it to a Goodyear tire dealer who services EMTs. They can patch it, the proper procedure calls for taking the tire off and patching it from the inside so you want somebody who can mount EMTs. It may be covered under waranty or may not, in which case it'll be about $35 or so - a lot less than a new tire! The little black folder thing that came with the car explains the tire warranty - as I recall road hazards are covered for the first year and 2/32" of the tread life or something like that.
I had a leak on one of mine and had the local GY shop fix it. No problems, no charge.

The dealer is trying to rip you off. Just had a roofing nail in one on my 06 C-6. Took it to Gunn chevy in San Antonio, the patched in from the inside at no charge and were very careful not to scratch the wheel. It can be repaired, unless it's unusual damage.

I was stuck on the road on a weekend and had my left rear tire plugged over 14 mos ago. No probs since.
