This is a dup - as I am new to the forum and must have screwed up--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I just had my LS7 dynoed. This is the LS7 i put into a c6 convertible and it got 483 RWHP with halltech filter, long tubeheaders, corsa cats, and a ported intake with an awesome Jeremy tune.
Jeremy says I can pick up more if I put the Z06 exhaust on it as the c6 exhaust is restricting it and we could not get the oil temp high enough on the dyno.
I also had the Z06 body, rotors and calipers, wheels and tires, and seats from a Z06.
Sounds like you may fool some unsuspecting Z06's out there! My Z06 should dyno about the same. same setup.Haltech,American Racing Headers,Tune by Mike Norris

It looks and runs awesome
What steps did you take to strengthen the tranny, differential, output shafts, and axle shafts etc?
Clearly, this modded-LS7's rwhp/rwtq levels are way beyond the design specifications for the stock C6 drive train. That means driver habits are become central to durability, unless collateral beefing up has been done.
You are right of course but I have heard Mitchell in a presentation say the C6 tranny/rear end was designed t withstand 600ft lbs of torque.
I will get hardened parts when I change out my gears. When I feel even a hint of hop I am out of it as quick as possible. Hop has virtually been eliminated with the Konis but the other day I was by myself with an near empty gas tank and I got some hop on a hard launch.

Have you launched the car yet?
Ranger
Nothing as I only road course track it - The first time I took it to the drag strip with my LS2 with 460RWHP I scattered the rear end on first run - never had a problem at any of road courses
I find that hard to believe with the rears that are breaking.
Besides, why would they put so much extra margin into it? it wouldnt be cost-effective.
I do not think he was referring to "drop the hammer" strength. There are many cars sruviving out there with big numbers and there are many cars coming apart with oridinary numbers. I agree with Ranger the driver is the key to survivability.
