Default no convertors for new C6?????

I recently posted a thread on preferences in convertors. The two convertors in question were Yank, and Art Carr. I had my mind made up with yank but to my surprise when i called them they said that it was not available. I then called Art and got the same response, they are talking something like 2 months! Does anyone have any info on this or are there any other convertors available? I have had alot of good feedback on Yank and wondering if I should just wait. Thanks for the info! Sorry the car is a 06.

Vigilante doesn't have one for the A6 either.... We're getting ready to have some custom 1 off's made by a reputable builder. Call for information if you would like to purchase one...

There's alot of things lacking for the A6, tuning support, Converters. Basically until tuning comes out why bother with the converter anyways??

I spoke with Yank on LS1tech and they told me to call them that they should have products available/available very soon.

BTW, I have kooks, orx, and borla stingers on my A6 and love it. I'm right behind you, I'm dying to do gears, converter, and cam.

FWIW, we've done cams and blowers on a bunch of them already and they all drive fine without having a converter. Just a little sluggish off the line, but at least you get to enjoy a lot more power up top.

I think the converter is going to be the best bang for the buck mod for this car. With it's stock gearing and a 32 or 3600 stall I expect this car to really wake up.

I appreciate your input though, it's nice to know people are trying things. What size cams have you been installing?? I don't daily mine I would like to put something with some rumble in there.

I picked up about 3mph in the 1/4 with headers and no tune. I've not had much time to go to the track, but on the one decent pass I got (1.9 60, not very good) the car went 12.3 @116. Good mph esp without a tune. You will notice the headers and love them.

I expect when I can get a tune and take down TM I can get in the 11s. I'm hoping for 11.5s or lower with a nice cam and converter.

We've put C cams (236/238 on a 112 w/ .605/.610 lift) and S cams (238/242 on a 113 .608/.612 lift) in them with success... They're obviously a little sluggish off the line, but LS2 converters are loose enough from the factory to accommodate a cam without at least having idle surge problems like we used to on LS1's with cams and stock converters.
