Brake pads and brake lines?

I have 34000 miles on my brakes and have never replaced the pads. I think it's time...

Any suggestions on best replacement pads? The car is for street use but I prefer high performance ones.

Also, are stainless steel brake lines a good upgrade? Just wondering since I'll be switching the pads anyway... Thanks!

I was happy with Hawk SP on my C5. SS lines are worth the effort IMHO, prevents brake line expansion on hard braking.
