when my car sits for a while and im reversing out of my driveway, i getg a clicking from the back right tire area...What is that clicking sound? sounds like a cv joint gone bad when you cut the wheel dard left or right...any thoughts?
If you go to a parking lot and do 8 figure-8s, and hear the noise when the wheel is turned both left and right, then the cited TSB applies to you. Mine started doing that first when cold and then later at normal operating temp. Had mine serviced IAW the TSB and 500 miles later the noise has not recurred.
There is another issue that has affected fewer cars and isn't yet documented by GM, as far as I know. It is loose nuts on the rear swaybar. So you might put your car on a lift and check the sway bar.

thanks
For me, it was lack of grease on the ends of the rear axle splines where the axle fits into the hub bearing assy. I had to clean and grease the outer axle splines, reassemble and now the clicking has been gone for 12,000 miles.

Sorry. TSB=Technical Service Bulletin, one of the ways GM communicates to the deal services departments solutions to issues identified on cars. There are various stages of problem identification, each with a different title. Owners generally lump them together as TSBs.
Same problem with my C6 at 3000 miles. Read up on all the post's and Tsb's and went to the dealer cocked and loaded. First they thought I was just some rich @#$ hole bitchin about a make beleive noise that they did not hear. First they wrote it up wrong sayin the noise was in drive not in reverse. Still could not hear! Was not until I asked nicely .lol.lol.lol for the service manager to test. Took him a whole ten feet in reverse to say up there is something wrong. Showed him all the posts and said there is something that GM sent out on it so first was the diff fluid change and the GM mystery additive. They will not change clutch packs until the secound round.
He told me to do the figure 8 trick to work it in. By the time I got home 5 miles...NO MORE NOISE!!!
Just want to say thanks for all the help that this forum gives out. Just wish the dealer is as educated and up to date on his Corvette repair Skills. Thanks to all , Zagnum
