My question is what are the top speeds for the different gears and does Traction Control/Comp Mode have any effect on the speeds vs RPM's? I have read similar posts on the MN6 and my top speeds I think are higher in some of those same gears.
I have been shocked at the speeds the car goes in second and third gear. Could the car shift up autoamtically to compensate for me not shifting. I am able to run many DE track and autocross events in these two gears. The RPMS are between 4500 and 6200 but I have not exceeded 6500 that I am aware of. What happens if you exceed the 6500 RPM redline?

It will just hit the rev limiter
I found it faster to stay in 3rd and hit the rev limiter at our local track
Thanks for the information this helps me to understand my car better it is so different than my C5 with A4. Does hitting the rev limiter damage the engine or the trani?
