A supercharger will absorb some of a cams driveability. It mostly depends on how much you're trying to accomplish. You'll definitely pick up a lot of power though. At least 50-75 rwhp. If you want help designing/picking the right one, give me a call. I'll help you out...

You need to get in touch with forum member NineBall. He has a maggie with a cam, and has had some awesome results. His car is absolutely gorgeous to boot too!

I have a 230/230 114 cam that I spec'd myself using Comp Cams lobes. Drivability is just fine, and it has a nice mild lope to it. It was probably worth an easy 40-50 rwhp most likely.

My current shift points are 7,000 rpm with this cam, pulls great with the Magna.

I've been on the fence about this for a while now... and with George now looking to step up... well, the peer pressure is making me want to cave.

NineBall - did you have a dyno compare vs stock w/Maggie? I was curious if a cam change might compromise power on the bottom end?

Thanks.

Err... wait.... DUH! I have a stock w/Maggie dyno right here.

NineBall - please tell me the Maggie with cam bests these HP and TQ numbers the whole way through the rpm range.

I would suggest a "blower" cam from Lingenfelter or Callaway. They have custom grinds specifically for Maggy applications. From what I have seen a blower cam makes a big difference in net and mid-range HP
