I have visited their facility in Old Lyme and toured it with Reeves Callaway. He is a class act as is his whole operation. If you are that close I would go down there and speak with them. They stand behind their products and they work. I have not done anything through them with my C6 but have driven earlier generations of their cars and they are torquemasters.
Thax for the info my dealer said he will ship the car for me and take care of the details i should take a run down there and check it out. Do you know what type of supercharger they use?
Yea been to the web site was just looking for some inside info about the company.
I don't know whether we've talked or not, but I'd be happy to give you any information you'd like.
For example, the $10,000 package you mentioned is actually priced at $10,995. It consists of the supercharger, upgraded fuel system and hood only. It's not a Callaway Corvette, per se, so you wouldn't receive any badging, "authenticity documentation" or the other components that are listed in the literature below. But it still uses the same Eaton-manufactured, Roots-style supercharger the Callaway Corvette uses, for around 550 hp. I can fill you in on any other details you'd like to discuss.
And you're certainly welcome to visit us anytime. Just give me a day or two notice so I can schedule some time.
Mike,
with all respect. Why not save around 2k and have a local shop install a maggie esp if it is not a doc'd Callaway car?
Hi k,
Good question. I haven't seen any advertising for Magna Charger and hood (painted and installed) for $2K less than the $10,995 we charge.
There are some plumbing and wiring modifications that Callaway provides, compared to the off-the-shelf Magna Charger. We've also developed our own PCM recalibration. Plus, we provide a 3 year - 36,000 mile warranty. However, if you have someone locally that can do the install for $8,995, and you were confident with their ability to install the system, recalibrate the PCM and support a warranty, that's an excellent deal. We certainly couldn't match it.
Here's some more literature that includes Callaway's supercharger pricing:
Mike,
I am thinking about the cost to have your car shipped to your facility which is about 1/2 the savings right there
Understood. When you add the transportation cost, the local "tuner" can become a more viable alternative. With fuel prices coming back down, it may get better, but it's still costly to ship a car from California to Connecticut, round trip.
One thing that may be interesting to you in Kali:
Reeves Callaway's son, Peter, is going to be opening a new Callaway Cars facility in Southern California. We'll be announcing all of the details, probably in October. There are still a lot of details to finalize - including the address.
Reeves moved from Connecticut to California a few years ago and, while he's with us for about a week each month, he has wanted to open a west coast facility ever since he moved. The demand for new SuperCharged Corvettes (and SuperNatural Corvettes) west of the Mississippi justified the new assembly location.

Just my 2 cents. If I was ever looking at buying a used Supercharged C6, the Lingenfelter or Callaway name would sure go a long way with me to know it was done right. In fact if it wasn't one or the other, I'd likely pass on the car.
