C6 Tunes & Warrantees
Finally theres a TUNE for A6 drivers which is very exciting. Im ready to go with it but I am concerned with the warrantee aspect...Most tuners will tell you that you wont get caught...Has anybody on this forum EVER heard of of a Corvette owner getting caught by a dealership for having a performance tune done? If so, what happened? How were they caught? Whats the possibility of getting caught? Any info would be much appreciated before I make my final decision...

Depends on what breaks. If you crack a differential case and the dealer checks the codes (and you know they will) and they see for instance that TM was edited out or the values tampered with, they will not cover the damage. If all you did was reprgram the tranny shifts and the engine dropped a spring, I imagine you'd be covered. The Magnuson-Moss act protects you from dealers who extrapolate the effect of mods to an unreasonable degree: they have to demonstrate direct cause and effect to deny the warranty claim.
