Default Dynatech Headers Dyno & a Few Pics

Finally decided to learn how to post pictures (took all of 3 minutes). So I figured I'd post a few pics and dyno graph. Mods are the following:

Dynatech Supermaxx Headers
Borla Stinger Catback
LPE CAI
160 Thermostat
Tune

The car is a 2006 Z51 MN6. All work was performed by 21st Century Muscle Cars.

How different does it feel? Thinking of installing headers myself.

When I had the mods installed last winter, I immediately felt a significant difference in power...and a huge difference in the sound. It is very deep at idle and under moderate acceleration...and loud at WOT, but reasonable while cruising. I met up with a buddy with a C6 with no mods, and within a week, he had copied my setup, except for the CAI. My only caution on the headers is that if you start modding the car, you won't want to stop. You'll be happy with it for a while, but soon enough, you'll want more. I'm going to have heads/cam installed this winter.

Great #s!

With all the extra torque and horsepower have you noticed any traction related issues compared to stock or is the power more gradual?

I am most concerned with the 1-2 shift, my Viper used to have major traction issues on the 1-2 which cost me dearly at the 1/4 mile track until I swapped tires.

Is the pull of the car much harder than stock?

Enjoy the new found power and great sound,

Howard

The car definitely pulls harder than stock. When I met up with my friend with the stock C6 that I mentioned above, I was able to pull away from him quickly and easily. As far as traction, I never pushed the car very hard when it was stock, so I don't really know. I had the headers, exhaust, and CAI installed within a week of buying the car, and had it tuned a few months later. But I do have to be careful launching...otherwise, the wheels will easily lose traction. I'm assuming that's the case with a stock C6, but even more so with an extra 50 rear wheel horses and torque.

That sounds great!

I always wondered if the headers made a significant difference in real world situations, not just on the dyno.

I think the headers/tune really helped. But if nothing else, the borla catback makes it sound much faster.

Awesome setup!! If you don't mind, please tell how much all the mods costs. Please seperate out labor if possible.

Thanks

The primary tube diameter is 1 7/8". Not sure what the ambient temp was on the dyno runs. Sorry. Hopefully the correction to SAE is accurate enough to give a good idea of true results.
