Shock issues? You mean bottoming out?
You can lower both ends just like the front end on a C5. Stock bolts to lower a little, aftermarket bolts or bushings to go even lower. How low safe is depends on where/how you drive and your idea of safe. Mine's on Zip's bushings and I've never scraped anything except the air dam. But there's plenty of members that have had problems at this height.
i lowered mine by cutting the rubber bushing in half!! took 20 minutes and came out beautiful!! and it still rides the same, just gotta be more carefull with how you drive. that front bumber's very low to the ground! you wanna make sure to take care of that!!

Can the rear rubber bushing be cut without removing all the suspension parts? What is the best way to do that? I was thinking of using a hack saw blade, but would love to hear from someone who has actually done it.
yea, what i did was jack up one side and cut the bushing with a hack saw!!! it took 20 minutes and it came out amazing!! you dont even need to remove the rim! just jack it up and cut it from underneath!

Can a sawzall be used? Is there enough room to safely do it?
