Default Need help with E-Fans

I am trying to wire up some E-Fans for another LS2 based vehicle (TBSS) and was hoping that someone here had the wiring diagram for the Vette handy. Is it a simple relay system like on the LS1 styles that is signaled by the PCM, or is there some sort of variable controller?

The reason I ask is that in HPTuners the newer Vette's (2005 and up) use Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) in the fan tables where as the older Vettes and even the current GTO uses a discreet (on/off) syle. This makes me think that the PCM is sending some sort of variable signal to the fans instead of a simple on/off command, which would have to be done through a specialized relay or controller since the PCM obviously could not controll the fans directly with out melting down.

If no one has a wiring diagram of the fans, does anyone have the pinout map for the PCM? Thanks for the help

Just an idea, here. Maybe a dealer would make copies of the schematic you need. I do know that the fans on the C6 are variable speed units, not just on/off. Good luck.

would it be possible to bypass the fan controller and install your own ?

would it be possible to disconnect the fan controller and connect your own. will the ecm freak out or care less about the open circuit ?

JeremyMSG, all the C6s are PWM.
We make and sell a fan controller module for the C6s. it's fully adjustable from 160 on up and wont set the SES light.
You can also send the ECM to us and we can reduce the fan temps that way, but the drawback with doing it with a re-tune is that the software won't allow fan temps below 192.

Julio,
Thanks for the input. Is this controller that you sell driven by the PCM, or does it use a seperate temp sensor along with an A/C sensor? After doing some more research it does not appear that I can set the stock PCM to control the fans below 192* anyways due to GM's new logic for the fan control. Can you shoot me a price on your setup? Thanks

Jeremy, our fan controller module will drive the C6 and GTO PWM fan controller and also "pass through" the PCMs AC fan requests to the C6 or GTO PWM fan controller. There is no sensor to mount, I designed it to be used with the stock coolant temp sensor, just tap into the signal wire. Check with Dave for pricing, 908-317-4496.
There are two ways to lower the fan temps below 192 in the tuning software, (1) with a custom operating system for boosted cars 2.5 bar, so if you are not running boost it's not recommended (2) You can rescale all the coolant tables, but your dashboard won't display the correct temps anymore.
