Default ls2 FAST intake

I have heard the the LS2 FAST intake has had some airleak issues. Anyone know if or when this might be resolved?

Where did you hear this? I'm very interested in this topic as I'm planning on getting one installed this winter.

That was a while back. It was the seal between the upper and lower manifold halves. I believe its resolved or was a non-issue. Mine is trouble free.

No problems here. I had it installed along with the LPE intake and the 2 together gave me 26 rwhp. I have not had any leak problems. Love it!

Default Leak

I had my 05 coupe at CAM ( Carolina Auto Masters) for some tune work. I was going to have Jeff Creech install the LS2 FAST intake. He suggested I call Lingenfelter for the order. When I called ( last week) the guy at Lingenfelter who was taking my order said that they were not stocking them right now but could order one. He then asked if I knew about the leak problem because that is why they were not carrying them. I said no and he said that they still had not fixed the issue. Lingenfelter supposedly has built a test stand that they can use to test them. He said that they were told the issue would be fixed buy the end of the month and that I should call them ( Lingenfelter ) back to order. He said they would be testing all units they send out to insure they have no issues. Maybe the guys that have them now had units tested and they were OK. Not trying to cause any issues, just relaying what I was told. Hope it is fixed as the system seems to work very well from all the comments I have heard.

It's been two weeks since my install and have had no issues whatsoever except some traction problems.

I wonder if it is a manufacturing error or design difference between the LS1 and LS2 engines. Maybe Lingenfelter will chime in.

how is the FAST diff for an ls2 and an ls1 I have the same FAST on both motors--get Tony Mamo of AFR to port the FAST and the TB and get about another 10 to 15 rwhp above the typical gains--

People have been posting for years on LS1tech about fitment issues with the FAST manifold. The surface that mates with the head is sometimes warped. It wouldn't stop me from buying one, but I'd definitely check mine before bolting it on.
