Half the job is done if you can use a lift Stock manifolds are held in with 10mm bolts that are very easy to get to. Take off the connection pipes underneith, take off the wires and plugs, unbolt the manifolds and take them out from the top, roll the headers into place from the bottom, bolt them in, take care of the connection pipes, plugs wires and your pretty much done. I left out a few small things but it's not a bad install.

Just wondering if headers are so easy to installl with a lift then why are the shops here in Ca. quoting $500 for the installation? Am I missing something?

They charge that because they can. At Carlisle I watched a guy do headers in 10 min with a lift and air tool. I think he had the plugs out already but still superfast.

Is a tune included in the $500 ?

I installed my DynaTechs, cats, and X-pipe in 4 hours, start to finish, in my garage, solo! It's really a simple install. (I do have a lift, and that in itself probably saved an hour. If I'd had help, I think this can be accomplished in 3 hours without breaking a sweat! Be sure and fire it up before buttoning up the exhaust, and listen to the music !!

If i had to tips for you
1 Would be buy NEW GM GASKETS For $20
2. TAKE YOUR TIME
3. Make absoutly sure that you put the o2 sensors back in the right spots on the new headders
This is what causes the CEL after install 99% of the time
I went overboard and bought some extra heat shield tape from summit racing and completely coverd the o2 sensor harnesses

Good Luck
