I had a ported intake from Cory installed today. Unfortunately no pictures as my camera is unavailable, but the work looked good! Cory shipped promptly and kept me informed throughout. In a week or two (or 3 ) I'm going to have another dyno run and I'll post any change in the baseline. Thanks Cory!
Cory, the dealer kept the car 3 days and said the draw test was negative. Cranked for them. I've purchased a battery tender and a Priority Start. At least they did the differential fluid change and the clutch packs aren't bugging me.
Reagrding your ported intake, I took the 'Vette back to MTI racing in Atlanta today as my header install had drifted the catback over to where it was bumping the transaxle pan, and the passanger 02 sensor was rubbing into the heat pad. Reese had also wanted to 'tweak' his tune as my car was low mileage (2K) when he first performed the tune and he wanted me to put some miles on the car and recheck it. So I told Reese I had put to your ported intake on and he did discover the car was a little lean. Reese tweaked the tune and I had him run a dyno. 7.2 HP and 11.1 TQ gained !
I really like how there is a consistent increase across the entire RPM range. Reese and team at MTI in Atlanta have treated me right and I'm glad I purchased one of your intakes to "top things off"! :flag:
Awesome results, incredible HP/Dollar, and all over the curve. Cory just keeps cranking out the HP....Now if I can only get him to work on my GN, oh yeah, he thinks I'm a traitor
I'm pleased that gains are standardized no matter who is doing the tuning and or dyno measurements. That's fantastic and, most importantly, hard to manipulate. That means the intake performs as I say it does and there's no way to manipulate the numbers. The tuner/dyno shop has no stake in the product so they don't benefit from inflating the gain. I like that.
As for CYA-Vett: I guess you're alright I understand the satisfaction of destroying other cars and egos with the "unsuspected". GN's are getting few and far enough between that people have forgotten!
