is it necessary to disconnect the neg battery to install the 1-4 shift elim.

Yea I just jacked it up and crawled under there....took a whopping 3 minutes. You'll get an immense feeling of accomplishment when you're done, lol.

Dont forget to have an ice cold "good job" beer standing by.

Be very careful backing it onto ramps.

Make sure that the front wheels are chocked.
