Default Bad Seal?

Had a B&B Route 66 exhaust installed yesterday (GREAT SOUND!). With the car up on the rack, it was the perfect opportunity to have a look around under my car. I've read about leaking transmission/diff. seals, but what I found was between my manual transmission & differ. a coating of dirt/grime due to a very slow leak? Obvisously not enough of a leak to leave a drip on the concrete, but some type of seal failure. Or could it be overflow from my recent rear end chatter (fluid change out) repair?

A woman's car starts smoking so she pulls over to a local gas station.

The guy tells her it will be about an hour for him to check it out and he tells her she can get something to eat at the diner across the street.

An hour later she comes back and the mechanic says,

"I have some bad news for you, it looks like you've blown a seal"

The woman pauses, wipes her mouth and says,

"Nope, cream donut."

Seriously, if you are concerned let the dealer take a look and document it.

Actually, there are "breathers" on top of the tranny and rear end, that can "blow" (since we're talking about ******** here) lubricant out the top. Looks similar to a blown seal. Had this looked at by the dealer awhile ago, and that's what the tech came up with...

9X outta 10 (or maybe 7, since we're talking GM product) that's what you're looking at...
