Default What can I expect???

I'm about to have Kooks headers, Haltech CAI, and a tune on my 05 MN6 Z51. I am also having the rear gears changed to 4.10's. No other mods except BB Bullets on the car now. Any idea's on what I can expect in HP/TQ with the headers and CAI along with performance with the new gearing. Thanks

I just did K&N aircharger intake, Corsa Sports, 160 stat, American Racing Headers 1&3/4" with 2&1/2" midpipe with hi-flo cats, and a dyno-tune.

My car made 370rwhp/375rwtq SAE.

The average seems to be about 370-380rwhp for these mods.

Once in a while you will see a 385-388rwhp or a 365rwhp pull, but I think this is more due to dyno differences.

With the Z51 gearing I think going to 4.10s might not be a smart move.

My car is a BASE manual tranny.
The Z51 gearing in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd is equal to BASE gearing with a 3.90 rear.
If you add 4.10s it will be very LOW geared.
It is hard enough getting traction with my BASE gearing and a stock 3.42 rear.

As for performance, before the headers and tune my car went 12.55@115.85 on a 2.023 60'.
Car must have been making around 345rwhp.
I am hoping with the extra 25rwhp that the car should run solid 12.2s@118+.
With a better launch 12.0s or dare I day it 11.9s could be possible on stock tires, but I don't know if it will be possible because:

THE NUT BEHIND THE WHEEL IS LOOSE!

Hope this info is what you were looking for.

Howard

Gears are the way to go...... I am suprised they're not discussed more in here........ 410's are perfect......though they wont give you tangible HP, the seat of your pants acceleration will speak for itself. I got 50 RWHP with a CAI and long tube headers alone..................thats before the supercharger
