Default Wheel Size Questions

What is the offset of the stock wheels?

If I went to 18's all around, would I get any error messages on the DIC?

Tks

I would not go with a smaller diameter in the rear. That is the only thing I would say about that.

In the C5 that would set off a TC problem on the DIC. Not sure about the C6 in that area.

For the track I run the stock tires front and 295/35/18 in the rear. I think Dennis runs the same thing.

bt944, I am running 18x9.5 at all corners.

275x35x18 front

275x40x18 rear.

These sizes are almost exactly the stock sizes in terms of OVERALL DIAMETER and thus there are no TC, AH, or ABS issues.

Bob, what offsets and wheels are you using with your 18x9.5 wheels? I would think that 18x10 or 18x10.5 (front and rear) would be very good choices.

Silverton, you will probably find my answer hard to believe: I used C-5 rear wheels all around. High polish thin spokes. I had four brand new that I did not use for another project. Stock C-5 sizes. 18x9.5. I tried the wheels on the car and they were perfect. I have pictures that I can E-mail to you. The fitment is absolutely perfect. I used a Z06/Viper size on the front. 275x35x18. Michelin Pilot Sport ZP

The rear is 275x40x18 Michelin Pilot Sport AS ZP.

C-5 offset rear wheel is +65mm

C-6 stock front is 58mm
rear is 79mm

This is not a track car. This combination sticks and handles more than enough for me for sprited back country driving. I used these wheels because I did not like the comp gray wheels that came on the car. Let me know if you would like me to E-mail pictures. It will at least show you how the offset and tire sizes look on the car to help you pick wheels that you want.
