Questions about my first Vette
The '07 MN6 Z51 coupe I ordered should be here in a couple of weeks. This will be my first non-German performance car. The dealer let me take a 2005 Z51 MN6 coupe for the day before I placed my order, and overall, I loved it. I thought the steering was light, but from what I've read here, that evidently can be programed out. It was too quiet IMO, so he said he would swap my stock exhaust with the Corsa's on the '05 for $750. Problem solved. Also, I thought the seats were crap for lateral bolstering, so I ordered a set of Recaro's. This should be a good starting point for a weekend track day vehicle to support my habit. Please let me know if there is an achilles-heel with regards to tracking this thing. Sorry for the length

I switched to a c6 in July formally(Porsche and Lotus). The car seems very track worthy. Teriffic car. Uses up brakes. Makes sense though, fast car, 3200 lbs or so. The weakness to Me seems to be the stock seats. Very little lateral support. Some times I feel like I am riding a mechanical bull in there.

Recaro SRD's. Not the nicest ones they make, but just what I was looking for in terms of a compromise between everyday use, and weekend track use. I got them through www.speedwaremotorsports.com They are on special for $1,000 a set, and they said that they build the brackets in-house.
