Hello....I'm getting closer to ordering parts for wide-body. Originally I wanted to keep it all GM, but now I am having second thoughts. I have been hearing good things about the Caravaggio panels.
To anyone who has them on their cars: are you totally happy with the fit and finish?
Do all the body gaps align properly and with symmetry? Is there any waviness (or undesired texture) in the surface of these body panels?
I've got Caravaggio fenders front and rear. My body shop guy said the panels were first class, as good or better then GM factory stuff. This was not the case with most aftermarket stuff that he had come across. Very little prep time was required.
I have a small gap at the front between the fender and the bumper right beside the hood. This is not the panels' fault. There is a plastic fastener that fits in there and it apparently doesn't like to be reused. The fit around the headlights is excellent.

Hi Steve and thanks for the reply,
Damn! When did you do your fronts???? Your car was great looking before ( I recently said it was the best looking white coupe I have ever seen), but now IMO you are in another league brother. It is drop dead gorgeous and all I've seen thus far is your little avantar pic. Can you please post more or email me some? I need a fix.
Hey that is good to know that the Caravaggio panels fit so right. That was exactly what I wanted to hear. I think I will go ahead and order the front panels from Tbyrne and all the remainder including rear panels with scoops from Mr. Beans.

Is the front bumper from Caravaggio too?? Are the panels made out of carbon fiber? Thanks!
John
The front bumper is a stock GM piece (got mine from Gene @ Fred Beans). The front fenders are fiberglass. The Caravaggio fenders are lighter then the stock C6 pieces but not as light as the carbon fiber stock ZO6 fenders. I was surprised at how heavy the stock fenders were.

Thanks for posting pics.
Gosh I was thinking that Caravaggio panels were made of SMC plastic like what is on our cars already? Guess I have some more learning to do.
Are your rims the Factory Reproductions in chrome?
So, they are the 19X10's? If so, what size tire are you using underneath the fenders? If the are under 305's (biggest I've heard you can put on the stock 19X10's), does it look flush? I love your car!! As fast on the outside as the inside!

No, 19X12 in rear and 18X9.5 front. Using stock ZO6 sized tires.
How much were the rear carvagio coupe fenders compaired to the gm ones
Looking to do this over the winter too
The rear Caravaggio fenders are more expensive then GM and the front Caravaggio's are less expensive. When I got mine they were the only ones readily available. Then the stock GM ZO6 rears started to become available. I would've probably still got them because I like the no-scoop look.
Around $1300 for rears and 1300 for fronts (that's per pair). Its been a while since I did this so the prices are very fuzzy and from memory.
