If I remember correctly, Fred Beans was saying the Z51 and Z06 front sways are the same. The rear are different. The Z51 rear sway is smaller than Z06 but larger than the F55. So in summary, there are 2 options for the front and 3 for the rear.

Default supercar tires?

If you go with Z51 bars on a base suspension, why wouldn't you
also need to go with supercar tires to make up for the lost grip in
the corners?

Default tires

One would think that whatever someone has done or is doing to give themselves a satifactory result with there suspension, would have chosen the best tire for the application. If handling on the street, be it wet or dry is your desire, forget any goodyear tire. The runcraps especially. There not to bad in the dry and you can drive if they go flat, and they wear well, but thats were it ends. Thay exit water poorly, there as heavy as two good tires and there noisy. We could go on for a while here because opinions very greatly on this and give different results on some vehicles. I have to my satisfaction tried all the streetable tires to date(with one exception being the hoosier track slick and grooving them)and believe the michlien pilot series to be best for all around use. The radial groved pattern makes noise in proportion to its wearing, So I like the PS2s best. Now we are trying to improve on traction through to best tire available for this application and it still is in need of improvement. If others are not using good rubber they would do best to leave the stock setup as is; because it will stick better in back if it rolls. You have to transfer weight somehow. TWP

If you have a F55, why not just try a stiffer front bar? That will make the car roll less, and should give the car a better steering feel w/o losing any traction at the rear.

I have base suspension and before I put my Z51 sway bars on I got scared on some freeway roads where I felt the car would bounce and wobble. Coming from a previous G35 all tricked out I was not use to the bouncy ride so I put on the Z51 and now it handles like a champ big difference. As far as harshness nothing you cant deal with unless like stated you want the caddilac feel.

The base soft suspension balances out well with the sway bar change vs. the stiffer springs Z51 already have.

I have the F55 and intend to put on the bigger front sways.

Keep in mind that the Z06 tires are farther out on wider rims. This increases the leverage point when the sway bars do their job.

Z06 bars on an otherwise stock F55 will make the car roll even less than the Z06 bars on a Z06. In the end I doubt it makes too big a difference but I want the wider tires before going to the new bars. The rear is where you can really get into trouble. Bigger is not always better.

The other thing to keep in mind is the spring rate and pre-load. The leaf spring cannot be pre-loaded so the inital movement is really light on my F55. The Z-51 spring would probably do a lot to keep the car from wanting to dip in the corners.

Who is getting coil-overs and wants to sell me their Z51 front spring?

I am looking into the Koni FSD shocks when they are available in the US for our cars. I think I might be able to tighten things up without the worry of too harsh a ride with them.

The correct spring dampening is the icing on the cake for control, its also the most difficult to get right.
