I have had my car for about 2 days - and my check engine light came on out 4 hours after I brought it home. I called and the service department was closed on Sat. So the sales person told me the computer may just have to be reset b/c it could have happened when they put gas in the car - does this sound right?
You can also reset the light by yourself. With the engine off, open the fuse box on the passenger side of the engine compartment. Use the fuse puller that is conveniently provided inside the fuse box to remove the ECM fuse. A schematic diagram is located on the underside of the fuse box cover. Once you have pulled the fuse, it's easier to re-insert it with your fingers, rather than with the fuse puller.
