Sorry.... all out. Have to start saving for the wheels.

on another note, there is a different kind of noise that I am not use to hearing when you shift from 2 to 3. Sounds like a whine noise, not bad, but different... All else is good, no knocks, no problems shifting, etc. just a little different.

Anyone know if this is an issue? I going back to 21st on the weekend to check it over.

Now all you have to do is wait for driveline bits to start breaking...

The C6 Driveline coud be stonger. I have not damaged mine yet. Dragstrips and dead hooks on prepped tracks have seen some breakage.

One of my next mods will be to get John to build a stong tranny and rear end for me. There are some good cases being built now and hardened gears are available. If you respect your car when you drive it like you did when you gave me a ride you will be fine.

Awesome mid range torque curves on your car.

With the switch to the LS7 block the 427 price was reduced so the difference is around 5k. I think the 427 is a great deal.

I'm confused... if it's using a LS7 block then how is it using LS2 heads and a FAST manifold.

It must be using a bored LS2 block to achieve 427 CI w/ the stroker crank.

The real "advantage" of using hte LS7 block is that you can use the new heads and the LS7 manifold.

So the 403 package is 15 k
so is the 427 package 20 k or 10 k?

That is a Haltech that you see. It was replaced by a Lingenfelter as a last touch. Lingenfelter had the same reaction you had.

Originally the price was around 26K. Lingenfelter reduced the price to 19,995 blue light special. I use the same rationale you just stated. for 5K more, just go with the big brass. My thinking was that the custom built LS7 would handle more later. Longer life, adaptablility for other mods if necessary... etc. And then, there is just the plain stigma attached to the 427. The looks I get are made for Kodak moments.

John gave me a credit for exisiting motor accesories, etc. so the pirce was considrably less. But since the dollar amount could vary on the car and engine, I would let John work that for you. But trust, me.. the price over the 403 is not significantly different.
