Default Battery DOA Again - 2005 C6

I don't drive my car much - however in the past 6 weeks I had two situations where the battery went completely dead. The first time I "think" I might have not left the car in reverse. But not the second time. I have a Valentine radar detector with invisicord hot wired into my mirror - could that possibly drain a battery in one week? Tried to jump start the car and although it did not start up, the jump start gave the battery in the car enough juice for me to put my charger on it and fire her up. What is a reasonable amount of time for the car to sit without being driven? One week in sitting in a garage seems like there is some other problem....

I think the only way the Valentine may have drained the battery would be if the batterry wasn't charged enough when you turned the car off. I only had one incident when I did forget to leave in reverse. Also pay attention to baterry charging info in your DIC when your are driving, if it flucuates in low 12's then tell your dealer. That happened to me, I was driving to dealer to have my shifter fix , it just so happened I was playing around with DIC and noticed indicator was fluctuating. I told dealer that and he replaced alternator.

I have been watching that as well - it was 14.2. As for the reverse, I have to back the car into the garage - it's in reverse when I shut it down. It's something....
