sorry for the dumb question but MN6 is the standard manual 6spd correct? Sounds like nice numbers. I have been looking dyno numbers on a manual 6spd as all I run into are auto C6 dyno numbers.
My vararam will be here tuesday; what was your impression after the install? From what I understand you probably are making well over the 358rwhp once rolling and above 65 due to its design?
Another question I had today as well is the muffler change on the C6. I had a 02 Z06 and never found it worth the money hp wise to replace the rear section. Is it the same for the rear section of the C6 vettes? Please correct me if I am wrong but I looked under mine a few days ago and the cats are right off the exh manifolds. So your "catback" is from the stock exh mani to the tips correct?

Thanks for your insight and nice vette....
Yes, MN6 is a manual 6 speed.
I really like the vararam. The cars feels stronger and I did get about 0.3s off my 1/4. I recommend it. It takes the car a couple hundred miles to learn it which I didn't believe until I experienced it. I installed right before going to track and gained nothing and the next week after 300 miles or so I saw the improvement. I do believe you will get more benefit from the vararam the faster you go.
The catback system is actually an x-pipe or mid-pipe back system. My cobra had the cats in the x-pipe but our C6s have the cats pretty close to the manifolds as you saw. So when you buy a catback you are actually buying piping from the rear axle back aproximately.
I was happy with my #s having watched the forum for several months. Not too high, not too low. Kind of solidified my already good opinion of the car + I couldn't pass up 2 pulls for only $35 (use to pay $75-100 in south florida).
My buddy with a C6 MN6 did 2 pulls after me with a best of 350 RWHP and 344 RWTQ.
His car has only a borla catback
So I guess we could pressume 7 rwhp and 11 rwtq for the vararam versus stock paper air filter
The big fan was in front of both cars so may have made the vararam work a little. Both of our runs were better on the 2nd pull and we only let the car sit for about 10 minutes.
My ECT was 205 at the beginning of my 2nd run so my thermo was not helping versus his stock thermo car. The only other differences is I have 18,500 miles versus his 11,000. I drove both cars on the dyno.

Chempowr, your testimony is so true about the computer learn. I just love my VaraRam. You can hear it plus feel the power. Nice numbers.
2005 C6 Magnetic ride MN6 with Vararam (no spacer), Flowmaster Catback, and 160 thermostat (no tune yet)
Why are you getting a tune? It's not necessary for an intake. You did in fact stated that the computer learnt the VaraRam, right. Save your money and maybe get a tune with headers.

I don't expect any hp with a tune now. Just want to turn fans on earlier and turn off the TM. That's why I considering predator.
Would you mind posting your graph? Would like to see the curve these cars put out stock or CAI.
Thanks
I have been trying but not smart enough to do without help. Anyone let me know how to post. I basically took a dig pic of it where it is on my computer. Itried posting my local URL but does not work. If we can't do it I can email it to you as last resort.
