Yes a taller sidewall is beneficial for drag racing but I don't think the difference in sidewall height between the 295/35 and the 315/30 would make up for the difference in width. In other words I think the wider tire would give you a little more traction in this case. Although with a 315 there may be a little cupping on a 10.5 inch wheel. So I guess what I am saying is I really don't know.

I have run 315's on a 10.5 inch rim in the past on a C5 and it fit just fine.
Thanks for the input, ... I am leaning twords the hoosier, 335/30/18, but I have a few months to decide

That is a big tire for a 10.5 inch wheel. I don't think it will fit on there. Or are you planning to change wheels?

315's are about it on a 10.5 inch wheel. You could have the wheel widened. Might not fit under your wheel well very good.

You know you may want to go down to a 17 and use the ET drag radials. I think they are 275/40s or 45 series. The hook much better than the BFG DR's. Are these for the track only?

There for tha track only...but I just bought them.....dont really want to go and buy new rims again, considering Im not at the track to often.............. I think the 315 Hoosiers will get the next shot in spring. But then again..................who knows

Yes, they are 275x40x17 and they do hook quite well, 1.58/1.59 sixty foots in my bolt ons only Z28 with the 255x50x16s.
The best part is they're coming out with the 18" sizes in a few minths I think.

Well I would say I still have two seasons in my BFG's, but I will switch when the time comes to replace them.
