I went on an extended drive for 4 days with my wife all went very well. I noticed halfway into the trip she had her vette fob also, is this a problem having both fobs in the car??
The only thing I have ever noticed is that the radio presets seem to not work when I have both fobs in the car. I've never done any kind of systematic diagnosis though, so one key fob having precendence over the other might be an explanation, because I've only done presets on one fob and it might have been #2.
I've been told that FOB #1 has precedence over the other FOB. In other words it shouldn't matter.
I think that's what GM says in the owner's manual. However, posts from C6 owners who had both fobs in the car at once seem to indicate that it's usually the fob closest to the driver's seat that wins.
Here's information from page 3-68 of the owner's manual, just to add to the confusion.
The current driver’s preferences are recalled when
one of the following occurs:
• The lock or unlock button on the keyless access
transmitter, labelled 1 or 2, is pressed.
• The appropriate memory button, 1 or 2, located on
the driver’s door is pressed. See Memory on
page 2-72 for more information.
• A valid keyless access transmitter is detected upon
opening the driver’s door.
If more than one valid keyless access transmitter is
detected upon opening the driver’s door, the driver
preferences for the lowest driver number will be recalled.
If a keyless access transmitter that is not
labelled 1 or 2 is used, the personalization system will
not recognize the transmitter.

I assuming if it were a problem, the dealership wouldn't put the other key FOB in with the paperwork and hand it to you to drive away with in the car. They'd mail it.
