Default C6 brake job

I have a 2005 C6, and plan to install C5 drilled/slotted rotors, and EBC yellow-stuff pads, this weekend. Has anyone done this?.....What problems should I expect?

I'm not the most knowledgeable (probably shows with this post), but I just found out that the Slotted/Drilled rotors can be turned. Had mine turned with great results!

i'm not sure if the c5 drilled rotors are larger than stock in the rear or not. if so, you will most likely need the z51 caliper bracket for the rears.

I changed to Bear 2piece rotors and installation is very simple. A couple of bolts and clips, and extension brackets for the rear like the ones you will use for the larger diameter rotors. A breese. Just tighten the brackets good to the housing. Im using the slotted and plated rotors, 14s in the rear for show, Because otherwise the stock rotors worked fine. I replaced the pads although they did not need replacing @ 18k miles, about 20% front wear, 10% rear, and I have used them. I recomend using the stock pads, wear is minimal, they dont squeek, surge, scar rotors, or anything, even when used harshley. There are an untolled number of complaints on replacement pads, do to the fact that most are not intended for every day driving. Owners must think GM cant make a good pad, eventhough they have the best car out there. DUH........... Again, if your at the track you mite want to change pads, but you will want to go back, off track. The stock pads work in every aspect, why look further?

If you have non-Z51 brakes and are going to standard C5 rotors, you don't need anything else. The non-Z51 and C5 brakes and rotors are identical in size.

Once you remove the wheel, you will find retaining rings on 2 of the 5 lugs, that you have to remove. Don't worry about reusing them, they are just there for the assembly line in the factory. Make sure you don't have your parking brake on while doing the job, as the parking brake is a rear drum brake inside the rotors, and having it on will make it difficult to remove the rotors.
