MAF Help Needed

Default MAF Help Needed

So while I have the MAF off to lubricate the butterflies on the TB, I look inside (of the MAF) and notice that there are several cracks in the sensor module cylinder. The wires are fine and intact but the cracks concern me. They are small cracks but nonetheless, cracks. The part number on the bottom of the Bosch module is 0 280 213 004 and 1 4094712. I have several questions: 1. Will this effect performance? 2. Can the module inside the MAF Tube be replaced? 3. How could it become cracked? 4. Is this Bosch part OEM or aftermarket? 5. Where do I get a replacement module? The tube the module is in is perfectly fine. Thanks.

Maybe ask in the C4 forum?

But to answer you question if it's not broke don't fix it. As long as the cracks don't let air in it should be good.
