Orange light by passenger sunvisor

Did a search, and looked through the entire manual. What in the world is this round orange light by my passenger sunvisor. I noticed it tonight because of it being dark. Its on and its driving me crazy because I don't no what its for. My car is a coupe and I thought the light might be a warning for the top not being secure but the top is fine.

It is there to illuminate the console/shifter area at night.

This "mood lighting" has been around since the C4. Its a neat feature especially for night driving.

it's a 'self check completed succesfully indicator'. if it's not on there is a problem.
