I'm getting pretty upset. This is the 4th time I'm bringing my 05 in for the same complaint. It's an Auto with the 3.15 rear end. The dealer has already changed the diff fluid, and replaced the diff packs on the second time in. I brought it in a third time complaining about the same noise and they changed the fluid again. It has only been about 1500 mi and the grinding noise is back. I'm bringing the car back this week for a 4th time; I plan on raising a big stink about this problem.
I just read the Lemon Law book (FL), and will start the process if the car can't be fixed properly this time. The initial noise started at around 13K, I brought it in for repairs the first time at 16K, again at 24k, and then 31K, now I'm at 32,900 and it's back. I took delivery May 05 so I'm within the initial 2 year period to file claims under the Lemon Law.
Has anyone here had any similar experiences, with their diff? Was it eventually fixed? Any recommendations would be appreciated.
