I just installed a Callaway Honker on my F55 M6 C6 yesterday. Already have Kooks headers w/free flow cats and Borla sports. What a difference. All the install posts are right about the shroud being a PIA to remove. But well worth the effort. Excellent throttle respose compared to stock intake and the car now makes a cool sucking sound during initial acceleration. I just need to figure out how to use HP Tune to get the ECM dialed in now.
My buddy has a C6 & he just Installed the Honker & he totally loves It. I must admit It actually gave the car a nice growl. Congrats, the honker seems to really work nice on the C6 from what I've seen.
Good to hear. I am torn between the Vararam and the Honker. I see on the Veraram website that the "scoop" on the Veraram comes all the way down to the center of the grill. Thus a concern about sucking in water. The Callaway website does not have a picture for me to judge. So for you guys with the Callaway, how far down does the honker go compared to the Veraram? I talked to Callaway and they told me that they have never had a water claim on their system. For those who took the Callaway over the Veraram, why did you make that choice? Thanks.
MTI in Atlanta swears by them too, so I let them install one. The design would be less prone to the possibility of water ingestion too compared to the Vararam, although that's moot for me because I don't drive the Vert in poor weather. That's what the truck and the sedan are for!
Age must be catching up to me because I swear I can't hear a difference with the honker. Now the Mopar CAI on my 300C, you can hear that puppy a mile away!
Do you folks have headers? I mean seriously, I don't hear didly from the front, only that sweat sound from the rear fascia!
I was actually kind of hoping to hear a V8 noise like the Chrysler makes with the Mopar intake, it's as loud as the Borlas on the rear. Not complaining though, like the way both of them sound. Maybe if I'd had the honker done by itself I'd have heard it...

I love mine Now you need to spend the weekend sanding it smooth and paint in body color to match the fuel rails. I’d post pics but my company firewall won’t let me get to the proper sites. You can see it in my Avatar

I like the idea of painting your Honker to Match your valve covers. Great idea. So far I've only done stuff that will make the car go faster, turn better or stop quicker.
I can't seem to find the C6 Scan and Tune section. Does it exist yet?
