Default LS6 Intake on C6

Has anyone tried the TPis 90MM LS6 intake on their C6? What were your results?

Default Did you notice this.....

"This is sold on an exchange basis only. Because of the cost of modification,we recommend using a better flowing LS6, or 2002 and later model year intake."

Just curious.

That's true, most would only do this to an LS6 intake (as opposed to an LS1 intake) but they screwed up the model years a bit, it was actually 2001 when the LS6 intakes became standard (on both Corvettes and F-bodies (and 2004 GTOs)).

correction to the f-body statement. 2000 and up had the LS6 intake without the EGT valve going into the top of the manifold directly behind the throttle body. Not sure about Corvettes.

Sorry but I must boldly disagree ...as an LSX engine enthusiast for years now and as the owner of a 2000 Z28 I can ASSURE you that it did not come with an LS6 intake (though it has one now ).
All 1998-2000 LS1 F-bodies (and all 1997-2000 Corvettes) came with LS1 intakes but you are correct about the EGR hole/provision, that existed on the F-body versions but not the Corvettes.

Ls1Lt1 is correct as i just sold my 2000 WS6 and did the Ls1 to Ls6 manifold swap. The Ls6 motor did not enter corvettes till 2001 so how would they have the manifold in 2000.

I was a proud owner of a highly modded 99 T/A that met with an unfortunate encounter with a tree. (the tree won). Boy I miss that car.

I went out of my way to buy a 2001 Z28 just to get the LS6 intake. The change in 2000 was to add the better exhaust manifolds.

I gotta tell ya, it REALLY bothered me when I heard that the '01s were getting that intake (and the accompanying 5 extra hp rating), it almost made me want to sell my '00 and get one (which would've been a stupid move of course LOL)...now I have the LS6 intake anyway, no more EGR and a bit more than a mere 5 extra hp.
