Default C6 GM Performance Exhausts

GM has a catalogue and web site for their C6 performance products. They carry several Corsa exhaust systems as well as their own "brand" in two versions- "performance" and "off-road competition". The performance exhaust looks just like a Borla C6- two mufflers stacked behind each other, placed horizontally. Anyone have info or experience with any of these GM products?

We have the Off road. Put in an X pipe to help eliminate drone. It has helped but not eliminated it. Wife says it sounds fine inside the car. We have an A6. Get the drone around 1,500 - 1,600 when I put a slight load on it like maintaining speed while going up a hill. I have had "nice sounding exhaust" from a few people.

I bought the performance version back when the did not offer the "off road".... was not loud enough for meat idle. No real drone... maybe a bit at 1500 rpm. Biggest problem was that the car still did not sound as good as my brothers Mustang GT... but it sounds real good when you get deep into it.

got louder over the past year and half but I should get headers...

probably not a good buy if you want to be noticed...

I also purchased the performance version because of a great deal that was offered, $600 off retail with the round big tips on a display system. I agree this exhaust is much quiter than what I had on, but as stated you can hear it when you get on it. One thing I did notice on a recent trip is my fuel milage went up a little and the car feels like it has just a little more pickup in the midrange. The only way I'll know for sure if anything was gained or not will be when I take it to the track. Dealer also said the system was made by Borla for GM.

I got the performance exhaust but before they had the off road version. If you want to hear a comparison just email me and I will email a video clip comparison, stock vs performance.

I have the off road version. It is louder than my C-5 was with B&B PRTs. There is some drone but way less than the C-5 had. I think it is fairly loud for a daily driver- I wouldn't want it any louder.
At the Ecklers Reunion a few weeks ago I asked the Borla reps what the difference was between the GM and Borla versions. He said the GM specs are slightly quieter- but in all honesty, I'm not sure he really knew. All the Borla guys there were muffler installers, I don't think any of the design people were there.
